She is One!

Where does the time go? One year ago today we met Julia and life has never been the same since. As my mom said today, 'she has brought us so much joy.' What more can I say?

I tried to make the day so special...and it was. However, it ended with a very tired baby and a few tears (hers, not mine) and a stack of unopened birthday gifts. Guess she (or Oli, I should say :)), gets to open those in the morning. Result of a fun-packed day. Best of intentions...

After school we went to the KidQuest Children Museum and it was fun by all!

We walked...

We played music...

We made funny faces at Daddy...

We explored....

We played with the water sprays...(Julia couldn't reach so she pointed and Oli would push the button to see the water spray)

We climbed...

We practied our twinkle toes...

We built the ball ramps (over and over and over)...

We played with the HUGE Light Bright (and shared pieces with Mommy)....

We got tickled at the Pickle Party (Oli chose the theme for our family party tonight)...

We burned our tiny itty bitty fingers on the flame (Ops!)...
We cuddled trying to erase the guilt...
We recovered quickly...

We shared with our furry friend...

A new tradition.... she is one so she gets one flower, next year she will get two and as Oli said, "wait till she is 100!"

Happy Birthday Miss J! I can't believe it's been a year since I met your bundle of joy hours after her birth. So exciting to see how she's grown. Can't wait to celebrate with you soon.

P.S. I bet she is the only 1 year old girl celebrating with a 'pickle' themed party this year. How original, Oli.

P.P.S. Love her growing hair!
