Sailing: Sucia Island

We have returned from our summer vacation - one glorious week of sailing in the San Juans.  Brett's passion for sailing culminated in earning his "Bareboat" license last year allowing him to charter boats up to 60 feet.  He captained a 40 foot boat last week with absolutely no problem, even with high winds, fog, sunshine and rain.
So many pictures, that I will take it one day at a time.  Our first stop was Sucia Island - beautiful bay and island.
Our boat...her name was Salus.

Oli captaining the 8 foot dinghy.

Tickle, Tickle, Tickle

There are some great natural climbing adventures for Oli on Sucia Island.

The trip was that much m ore special with DaddyDave along for the ride.  Well, that is how we sold it to him but once he was here, he quickly realized he was skipper.  A great bonding experience for Brett and his dad.

Julia loved hiking around and took many falls resulting in no tears...not even this nose dive she took.  She is growing up tough!
