Nick and Camron's Wedding Reception

Ahhh...a relaxing Sunday night after a fantastic weekend is a treat.  We were in Suncadia celebrating Nick and Camron's marriage...they married on 11/11/11 and yesterday was the party.  A beautiful summer party that had just the right touches to make it personal for them...including their entrance via kayak. 

Nick and Camron met at our wedding which made this even more special...we got to reminisce about our wedding and we were fortunate to know both sides of the wedding party (mix of college reunion and current friends) and meet new friends. 

With kids in tow, we didn't get many pictures but you can imagine a sunny weekend in Suncadia that included 18 holes of golf for Brett, plenty of fun in the sun at the pool and a lovely couple celebrating their love.

 

 

Julia'ism #10

 

Setting: Julia had just woken up from her nap and was snuggling with Daddy on the couch.  She was quiet for a really long time just staring at Brett and then says, "Nice to meet you, Brett."

Julia says to just about everything, "Tyler when you get older, you will color with me" or "Tyler, when you get older, you will eat bananas". 

 

Julia: Daddy, your scratchies are gone. (after he shaved for the wedding...as you do when you don't go to work, he isn't shaving so often these days)

Daddy: Yes, but they will come back.

Julia: Tyler, when you get older, you will have scratchies just like me."
