Prepping for Easter

Tonight was all about getting ready for Easter...photos, decorations, eggs, and more! Check it out...

"Ah, Wendy Ithink these looked way cooler on Julia."

"Oh cool! Rabbit Ears!" Note to self, rabbit ears are cool, flower petals aren't."

"I think both are lame, especially when you already have your own big ears (who needs fake ears anyway..?)."

When Oli came home today he said, "Wendy, Wendy let's make a 'Happy Easter' banner!" Yes, let's! This is one of the many many paper toys on my sister-in-law's website: http://www.thetoymaker.com/ .
I love that Oli likes doing this type of project still. He is a rough and tumble and 'cool' kid now but still is a kid :)

Scout had to be right in the middle of this project.

And the finished product! Oli was very proud. And he found the perfect spot in the house so that the Easter Bunny would see it. But first had to ask, "wait, will the Easter Bunny come in the front door?"

Time to dye the eggs!

Ron taught me how to make radish rats decades ago and I have fond memories of this rats joining us for dinner every now and again. I hope Oli will have the same memory.

The last words of the night...for all of you to enjoy!

Oli'ism #58

(Scene: talking on the phone with my mom)
Oli: Wendy, Wendy we need to buy Julia an easter bonnet!
Wendy: Ok, we can buy her a bonnet.
Oli: (back on the phone). What is a bonnet?
