I got to work last Wednesday and had to take a deep breath. My drop off routine in the mornings which normally takes 1 hour and 10 mins took 1 hour and 45 minutes because we missed Oli's bus. As long as we are backing out of the driveway at 8:37am, we are fine but 8:39 didn't cut it. 2 extra minutes made me not only late for a meeting but unprepared for it as well. I needed a deep breath.
Later that morning, I read this blog post:
http://ashleyannphotography.com/blog/2011/11/02/life-is-sweet/. It was just what I needed to hear and that day, Julia and I baked our first cake together. Being 'present' with her was so special.
