Leaf Clean Up

Our new block of neighbors are so fantastic...it is hard to even explain.  But this is a great example to depict the kindness....the street got together to clean up one neighbor's leaves.  He has two of the most beautiful and HUGE trees that all neighbors enjoy but the leaf clean up has always been the work of one family. 

Not this year...what typically takes the Merrell Family 6 weeks worth of weekends, took the 25+ people 2 hours.  2 hours of working together followed by a potluck BBQ.

There are two grandpa-types that seem to have a fondness for Julia...they loved picking her up to jump in the trashcans to stomp down the leaves.

While you cannot see the perspective well here...he is completely buried in leaves. 

Scout wasn't left out...he was invited for all the neighborhood fun and enjoyed the commarderie and the potluck.

How did we get so lucky with these neighbors???
