The ceremony consisted of graduation hats, 2 songs and dances by the class and finally an offical diploma. His teachers are very very good and he was one proud little guy tonight.
His class...and you should be able to pick out the class clown.
Receiving his diploma.
Our contribution to the potluck was the most adorable graduation hat cookies. I did two practice batches with Oli over the weekend and with a perfected recipe and plan, spent 3 hours last night on the final product. They were adorable (if I do say so myself!)
We dashed home after work to grab the cookies and wouldn't you know...Scout had enjoyed almost every single one of them. Bad Dog! (he got in BIG trouble, but I think the tummy ache will be the punishment he remembers)
Oli: "what is a face transplant?"
Wendy: "well it is the same as a heart transplant or kidney transplant. It is when someone who needs a new face gets one from someone who doesn't need their face anymore."
Oli: "Oh, I get it! So like if I need a new heart, I can get it from someone else!"
Wendy: "yeah, you got it"
Oli: "but you don't want one from an evil Queen"
We thought this was funny as Oli cant wait until his snowboarding lessons this comming winter, so can can also learn about faceplants.
Oli'sm #42:
Wendy: "On Saturday, we are going to go to the movies. It may be all of us or maybe just you alone with Maro and Charlie"
Oli: "Just me with Maro and Charlie! And you and Dad can stay home and watch the news."

Ohhhhhhhh Scout, you naughty dog. SUCH a cute creation, Wendy! Hope Scout isn't too sick. Also, what ADORABLE mortar boards. Wish mine looked like that (I get the wear the whole getup at graduation Saturday)
Congratulations Oli! A very exciting milestone. Big-K here you come!
The graduation hat cookies were adorable. I can only imagine the suprise (and fustration!) when you came home to find the evidence of bad Scout's behavior. :(
