Fill in the Blank Friday

The biggest compliment is copying someone else's idea. As many of you know my dear friend Natalie is the most creative person ever! She has started a new tradition called "Fill in the Blank Friday". I won't commit to doing it every Friday but I will try.

I would love to hear your answers too! So leave them in the comments section or shoot me an email.

1. Blogging is something....that I do for others, for our far flung family and friends. But that is an off the cuff response. If I am honest with myself and with you, I often find myself looking through my posts and smiling and because of that I realize I do it for myself too. I am proud of my family and feel so fortuante for all that we have and all that we do.

2. A current fashion trend I wish I was brave enough to wear is...what I wore on Monday! After having Natalie and Ashlie over for dinner last weekend and picking their brains about fashion, I was confident enough to wear a dress to work with tall boots. I looked awesome, if I do say so myself! Thanks, Ashlie and Natalie for the advice and confidence I could pull it off!

3. My greatest accomplishment in life thus far is...taking the leap of faith that has resulted in a family, both biological and not, all of which that I love so much.

4. If I had to choose between a mountain and a beach vacation...I think I would choose mountain but moreover, I like leaving the vacation choices up to Brett. He has always made the best choices for us!

5. A talent I wish I had is...being a better photographer. No question.

6. A talent I do have is...running.

7. This week...ended with a full lively house(our family + Oli's friend for the night), a very bruised body (After loosing a wheel while out running with Julia yesterday), and a jet lagged husband (from his UK trip this week).

Oli'ism #156
Setting: Like my mom, when I try a new recipe I write down how good it is. My mom uses an "excellent, very good, good" rating. I use a 5 star rating with stickers. Oli gets blue, Brett green and i get yellow. Tonight Oli was explaining to his friend Cody who is sleeping over.

Oli: How many stars do you give Wendy's pasta sauce?
Cody: I don't know.
Oli: 5 is the best, 4 is still good, 3 is medium, 2 is that you think you are going to throw up and 1 is that you know you are going to throw up.

(I am proud to say Oli has never given any of my dinners lower than a 3)
