Happy Thanksgiving!

I love Thanksgiving! I wish we could have been with our extended family today but in lieu of that we enjoyed it with our immediate family and our dear friends Ed and Vicky.

While the turkey and spice cake were completely overcooked, the essence of the holiday remained intact. We have so much to be thankful for and we took some time tonight to reflect on that (and I found a way to turn it into a sewing project....more on that later...)

Even though Thanksgiving is not something Brett grew up with, here he takes on the challenge of 'carving the bird'.

Time to Eat!

Oli enjoying his 'mocktail'. He poured in himself and said, "I like my mocktails filled to the top because I drink them so quickly."
Hmmm...hope that changes when he changes to cocktails...
Thanksgiving or any other night...Scout takes his place right here. Julia often hangs a piece of food over and dangles it for him. And now offers a 'uh oh' if she drops it. We are chalking 'uh oh' to be her first word. It is adorable.

Best seat in the house!

The kids, big and small loving the sledding.

The Yin and the Yang.

Oli'ism #157:

Oli: Where are you going on vacation with the kids, Ed?
Ed: We are taking them to Paris.
Oli: Oh, you can see the Icy Tower there!
