Seattle 5k

This morning, Oli and I ran our 2nd 5k together. Another great time!

He surprised me with a sprint/walk/sprint strategy. We kept passing the same group of people and pretty soon I started to hear them chuckle saying, 'here he comes again'. Our finish time was slower than last time....a good time to learn the lesson, 'slow and steady can win the race'. He did however still end up with a respectable position - 22nd out of 44 in the under 15 age group category.

I fondly call Brett "TK" for "time keeper". He is obsessed with keeping time of everything (including once how long I took in the shower). We laughed when we got to the start line and both of us had two watches on each. Guess I am learning his TK ways...

Here we come...

Space blankets to keep us warm...it was a balmy 34 degrees during the race. Brrr.

A sprint to the finish!
