2 down, 1498 more to go

In a single year, a rat can have 1500 offspring (thanks, Ron for the fun fact). We can no longer ignore the fact that we have rats in our backyard. Along with the cute little birdies, the rats have found the bird feeder that Brett and Oli made a week ago.

The professionals will be coming tomorrow but in the last three nights we (well, ok Brett) has caught 2 rats and 1 rat tail and 0 dogs. Not too shabby.

The crime scene. If you look closely, you will be sure to find a rat underneath the bird feeder searching for food.

Putting on his game face (or was that your rat impression?)

A few things to note: he isn't getting too close, he dressed up for the rats funeral and his asbolute clenched left fist.

It is moments like these, that I am so thankful for a manly man husband (but the omni-clenched left fist gives it away that he isn't enjoying this.) We will welcome the professionals tomorrow with open arms!

The whole rat saga is quite sad, but your storytelling and Brett's great facial expressions are very amusing. I noticed you aren't in any of the rat photos. It looks like you are being very wise and staying away - smart gal.

Keep me posted on things.

Does he always dress so well for rat catching?
Is Scout helping?
