PORTLAND, PUMPKINS (whoo)PEE CUSHIONS

Our weekend was non-stop as usual!
Carrie's Shower
Saturday I went down to Portland to celebrate Mamma Miller. We had Carrie's shower in Portland and I was lucky enough to ride most of the way with Katie and Peyton. Peyton and I had several hours together which I treasured.
The shower was wonderful...and what a wonderful thing to celebrate for Carrie (and Brett!).
And Oli and Brett stayed in Seattle and built a wooden airplane and a bird feeder. And had the most wonderful bolognesesauce waiting for me (detox friendly, mind you :)). I am such a lucky girl!

Pumpkin Patch
Even though Brett was a little skeptical, off we went to the Pumpkin Patch on Sunday afternoon. It was a beautiful fall day and we had a lot of fun choosing a pumpkin (and got a workout carrying the LARGE pumpkins from one end of the patch to the very other 'just in case there was a better one over there..').

Here is Oli trying to find the perfect pumpkin...he put a lot of thought into finding the perfect one.
And then he found the only green pumpkin in the patch and insisted on that one. Only Dad was capable of persuading him a tall skinny orange one was the one to take home.
Oli and 2 scarecrows. He was a little too scared to stand up by them, but sitting down was alright.
And finally we enjoyed a run through the pea pod maze that they have for the lil' ones. Oli figured it out right away and then insisted we run through at top speed. Brett has pointed out that my new 'do can fly :).
Walsh Halloween Fun
Our weekend ended with some Halloween festivities at the Walsh's. They were kind enough to have us over and had some surprises for Oli. The best of which was a whoopie cushion that he got a BIG kick out of (until he jumped on it and broke it). Oh well. I trust it won't be the last whoopie cushion in our lives. Little Charlie & Tyra i think got a sneak peak into their lives in a few years time. Little boys, gotta love em'!
In addition to the whoopie cushion, Maro had found some ugly teeth that Oli got to put in (a big hit, especially since there was bubblegum as the adhesive).

YAY! I feel like a celebrity! Only wish I had the foresight to bring some lovely teeth like Oli's to the shower! xox
