Fun in the Sun

Waking up to sunshine peaking through our windows on Saturday morning made all the gray days worth it! We had a day full of plans and the sun was a welcome guest to join us for the day.



Oli had his very first sleep-over on Friday night. It has been something that Cody and Oli have been looking so forward to. They started calling it the "Lucky Day". When we went to pick him up on Saturday morning, they were in full sales mode. S

Next up...our dear friend's Ed and Vicky showed up on their motorcycle to watch the UK vs US world cup game. But first we coerced them to drive over all of two blocks on the motorcycle for some delicious lemonade.

After the game, Brett and Oli enjoyed some much sought after boat time which included a couple of jumps in the lake holding hands, a game of snap, a game of chess and lots of loud music. A guys outing!

Julia and I joined all the girls that evening to celebrate Ashlie's belated birthday. She is living in a hip downtown condo with a rooftop deck where we enjoyed appetizers and sparkling water. We are the most boring girls when it comes to beverages.

But the conversation was far from boring...what great friends I have!
