Happy Father's Day

Father's Day will always have special meaning for me....one year ago on I took a pregnancy test that confirmed that Julia was indeed growing inside of me. Truly mind-boggling to look at her now just one year later...



But Father's Day isn't about me...it is about all those wonderful dad's out there. Brett being top of my list!

We slept in...ahhh. Unfortunate to find out that the reason Julia slept so good last night was that she is sick. Fever. That and the weather surely put a damper on our day but we filled it with love and devotion to the father of the house none-the-less. Brett got gifts and cards throughout the day, his favorite dinner (chicken stroganoff), a new dessert (homemade apple caramel upside down cake), got to win at chess against Oli, read a sailing magazine, was chauferred and even got unlimited tickling time for Oli.

Brett, as soon as we have a sunny day, you will get your Father's Day wish and spend the day on the boat. Sun, sun, where are you???

Oli was so excited to give his gift to Dad. A set of 3 paper flowers that were IOU's - help wash the car, feed the animals and go fishing.
