Happy Medicare Birthday, Charlie! This cake was a creative idea that looked much better in my mind. Oh well, at times like this I use the "Oli helped me" excuse.
Our gift to Charlie was a little off-the-wall. He has a alter-ego that he and Oli love ..Mr Chiwawa Man. A hat is needed for this alter-ego, in case you were wondering...so, just incase Baby Grandson Walsh doesn't quite get Mr Chiwawa Man, now he has a set of hats to use as alternates.

After our fashion mistake earlier in the week, we were spot-on for the Community for Youth Charity Auction on Saturday night. While we bid on a few things, no safari's this year. http://www.communityforyouth.org/
What is this? We didn't know either so had to ask. It is a Gooey Duck (honestly!) that was there to spread the word that the Puget Sound needs Gooey Ducks in order to stop the decrease of Orca Whales. To learn more: http://www.pugetsound.org/
What a little stud, he did great!
Just incase we had any plans to get bored, we went Roller Skating with our friends the Gossett's, the Bishop's and Julie.
I was so smitten with Brett and his roller skating moves tonight. It reminded me of middle school Skate Nights where I would watch and wish for the crush of the week to want to skate with me. When we got home Brett dug out the picture below from 19 years ago. No jumps or ramps for Oli this time, but who knows what out next 8-wheeled adventure will bring.

The girls taking a break...

I thought I already admired and respected Brett tremendously...is that SERIOUSLY a pic of him from 19 years ago?! WHY oh WHY did his skating talents not come up in the wedding roast?! Just wrote on Natalie's wall that I was BIG into skating in middle school--had an outfit and skate covers to match and everything! SO sick and wrong ;-). You look GORGEOUS in your charity pic! I'm counting down the days till Bend. YAHOO!!!!
oops--addendum. What I meant to say in my note is that, now that I've seen that skating pic, I respect him so much MORE (not less) :-)
