Visiting Sue-ma and Ron-pa

Nothing is more touching than hearing how precious your baby is and hearing it from people who are so dear to you. That is ALL we heard for the 7 days that Julia was with my parents - Nana and Grandpa (or their new nicknames Sue-ma and Ron-pa - still waiting to see if they actually like those nicknames... :))

Julia was the center of their attention for the entirety of the trip and she loved it! And it was a mutual feeling, no doubt.

She learned some new skills on the trip...blowing bubbles, smiles that come too easily and she is on the cusp of giggling. Ron tried to teach her to say Mama for Mother's Day but she didn't quite get it. But I do suspect that they taught her to stand (see tomorrow's post).
Here are just a few photos of Nanna and Grandpa time...

California Baby! Took her swimming...first time in an outside pool.
Bathtime! First time being bathed in a kitchen sink...maybe the last?

A personalized "Happy Mother's Day" banner awaited us when we pulled into my parents house after a few days in Palm Desert. Banner is complete with photos of both Julia and Oli. A keeper!

Enjoying a very nice Mother's Day lunch. Notice the new necklace? A custom made necklace that Brett chose with a garnet as the center to signify Julia's birthstone.

Ron-pa and Julia...the start of a special friendship!

More photos from our trip coming...

So happy for you and what a treat for the grandparents!
