What could it be!?! Oli was particularly excited about this gift.
Oli got a skateboard for his birthday and he has been terrific about sharing it with Dad but I thought it would be nice for them to have their own so that when they have mastered circles on the Basketball Court they can go together on the trail or Kirkland waterfront. 
Safely in their helmets. We will also be getting Brett knee and elbow pads after his big fall off of Oli's skateboard last Sat. He went flying off of it resulting in a bruised hip, elbow, hands and ego. A great lesson for Oli though. After that Oli said, "maybe we should get Dad heelies instead of a skateboard..."
After opening the skateboard and his transformer pajamas Brett's comical comment was, "I feel like Benjamin Button." Still makes me giggle (as does seeing him in his transformer pajama pants). All of this for Oli to know that he has the coolest dad!

Oli'ism #41: Random comment at dinner.
Oli: Did you know in a fire you DON'T run.
Wendy: Ok, what are you supposed to do?
Oli: Scream!
Oli: And you don't scream, "my house is not on fire" nor "I don't need help". You scream, "Help, my house is on fire!"
(it was at this time that we heard a siren outside and he quietly says, "I think they're coming to save us")
