On My Own

While I am missing Brett tremendously while he is visiting family in England, it is my personality to make the best out of any siutation. Therefore, my alone time has been relaxing, the house is clean, Scout is bathed, Oli and I are enjoying some 1:1 time, and the long list of to do's is getting shorter....

On Friday night, I enjoyed a girl's night out - dinner and a movie. This was such a treat!

On Saturday, I started a 3 week photography course. 6 hours each Saturday to learn how to use all the cool buttons, knobs and settings on our SLR camera. I had no idea if I could stay focused for 6 hours but I did! And I learned a ton and was so inspired that I came home, took Scout to the park and enjoyed a late sunny afternoon laying the grass snuggling with Scout taking photos.

We have homework for our class to take 24 pictures on completely manual settings and to include shapes, like circles and squares/rectangles in our shots.

So here are some of the contenders for my homework assignment.
Sunday, I went to the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery to take some more photos (see
below) and went shopping for my growing belly and for the nursery. The Salmon were so cool that I took Oli last night and he loved it!
